Agatha Christie’s The
Mousetrap is the quintessential 'Whodunnit?' which holds the
Guinness World Record for the play with the longest continuous run
(since 1952, and still in production). In this, the world's most
acclaimed murder mystery, we are told the story of a group of strangers
who are stranded in a boarding house during a snow storm and who soon
discover that one among them is a murderer.
suspects include the newly married couple who run the house, a spinster
with a curious background, a peculiar architect, a retired Army major,
a bombastic man who claims his car has overturned in a drift, a jurist
who makes life miserable for everyone, and a policeman. Once the entire
group is assembled, one of the house guests is killed. To get to
the bottom of the murderer's plot, the policeman probes the background
of each of the eccentric house guests only to discover that all of
those assembled, not just the murderer, have something to hide.
